Tonight, Saturday 6/21/08 I leave for Israel. I will be attending the Jewish Agency Board of Governors meetings in Jerusalem and then traveling with Amir Shacham, Director of the United Jewish Communities (UJC) of MetroWest, NJ to visit our partnership communities. I will also be traveling with Max Kleinman, Executive Director and CEO of UJC MetroWest, NJ.
This is my 9th visit to Israel during the past 8 years. I am the newly elected president of MetroWest and I begin my term on July 1st. For me the purpose of this trip is to receive briefings on current issues impacting our partnership communities and to spend time with Max and Amir so that we may plan for the coming year.
My hope is that these will be short postings and of interest.
